  Stopped in with a friend this afternoon because I live nearby, and we picked up a couple beef patties and some coco bread. Staff are pretty indifferent - bordering on rude - but service was quick enough and the food is good (to be fair, I was starving). The beef patties were solid, the shop is clean, prices are low, and the menu is extensive. Good chance I'll be back.

  The food is okay, the rice is flavorless. The oxtail juice is watery not the flavored gravy I'm a fan of. The cocobread is always stale- as stale as the attitude of the cashier. I'm not sure why they're so rude here- but if they were nicer that may make up for the subpar food they serve. For the price you can't complain too much- that's the only upside.

  I've dropped in here several times over the years due to my 'no Jamaican bakery left behind' policy and the food has always been very good.
  
  The coco bread and beef patties are delicious.  The store is clean and offers a nice variety.
  
  Staff isn't warm and fuzzy but the food is worth stopping for.

  The staff wasn't very friendly but I didn't really care all that much.  A woman came to the counter, pointed at me, got me what I wanted and rang me up.  It was really quick but she literally didn't say 1 word to me.  She was having a conversation with another employee the whole time - odd.
  
  The food:  we have been to many Jamaican restaurants in the area.  My most favorite is Anthony's in Manchester and I literally compare every other place to that.  
  
  This was pretty far off.  I got the brown stew chicken.  The chicken was soft, fall off the bone tender but literally had no taste.  I'm not sure how it's possible.  The rice and peas were cooked nicely but again - no flavor.  I'm used to that sweet yet mildly spicy gravy that you just can't get enough of.  What I did like is that there were pieces of potato and carrot as part of the stew.
  
  The beef patty was piping hot - great! It had a thick breading and mushy flavorless beef filling.  It was edible and OK but not amazing! No spice whatsoever.  
  
  Seems to have so much potential if there was just more flavor to their food.  May pop back to try their jerk chicken since their down the street from work but may drive a little further next time to find better!

  Meh. I went here on the recommendation of a friend.  I'm from the islands and grew up in Brooklyn, which abounds with places for patties, so I know what a good one tastes like. This ain't it. I ordered three. When the cashier gave me the bag, I thought she stuck a free bottle of juice in there the bag was so heavy. It was really just the three patties.
  
  They were heavy and the meat was mushy and tasteless. They tasted like Tower Isles...i.e. Not home made. They were hot, which is good but really nothing more than patty bricks. Blech minus two stars
  
  The cashier took about ten minutes to make one patty with coco bread and a small oxtail. Minus one star. I had decided to try the patties first because that's usually the sign of a good West Indian restaurant. Glad I didn't waste my money. My son summed it up best, "it's not bad but I have DEFINITELY had better.
  
  They get to keep one star for the cool checkout machine but the cashier was stink so they end this review with 1.
